The Biochemical Sciences concentration is primarily concerned with the structure and function of molecules and cells and draws on methodologies ranging from chemistry and physics to molecular biology and genetics.  Biochemical Sciences is intended for students who wish to study the fundamentals of chemistry, physics, and mathematics and their relation to biology.  It is designed primarily for those who anticipate careers in the biological sciences including molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, neurobiology, genomics and bioinformatics, or in medicine.
