Strain Rederivation [ Services Order Form ]
Investigators Responsibilities:
- Download Service Order Form from website, fill out, and sign (see PDF)
- For frozen embryos: arrange for shipment of 2 straws of frozen embryos from the supplier to the GMF laboratory in dry LN2 shipping container. Solicit veterinary report on SPF status of sender facility. (Investigator carries the costs for returning the dry LN2 shipping container).
- Receiving live blastocysts at ambient temperature: arrange with supplier for availability of strain and approximate timeframe. GMF will schedule the time of shipping.
- Submit two vials of frozen ES cells with test result data and Service Order Form to the GMF (see PDF).
GMF Responsibilities:
- Schedule shipping embryos with sender.
- Receive embryos in quarantine (Pod 9), and perform embryo transfers into pseudopregnant recipient mice.
- Transfer recipient animals to FAS-OAR to follow up with serology. OAR will initiate transfer of animals to investigator colony after serology testing has been completed.
Fee Schedule:
- Receiving frozen embryos, thaw, perform embryo transfers: $ 500.00
- Receiving blastocysts at ambient temperature: Initiation $ 500.00 for 3 embryo transfers, then $150.00 for each additional transfer (OAR charges will be separate)
