Structure-function relationships in the Pho80/85/81 Complex
Ian Carter-O'Connell <iferrin@mcb>
While the study of the PHO pathway in yeast has received considerable attention in the past few years, much remains unknown. I am interested in utilizing the Pho80-Pho85-Pho81 Cyclin-CDK-CDK Inhibitor complex as a model for probing the interface between structure and function. More to the point, I am curious how changes in the structure of these molecules effect the level of CDK inhibition, the cyclins recognized by the CDK, and the downstream effects on the PHO pathway.
